| Bill Martin will deliver responsible representation |
The September 10, 2002 Democratic Primary resulted in Brad Miller winning the election. He will go on to face the Republican nominee in the November 5 General Election. I extend congratulations to Brad, along with best wishes for success in November.
My future plans, at the end of my tenth North Carolina Senate term, are yet to be determined. I do plan, however, to find ways to have an impact on quality of life issues -- through public policy and other means -- that are important to the well-being of North Carolinians.
I thank all persons who supported me throughout this journey, including those who made financial contributions to the campaign, and those who voted for me.
Bill Martin

Your Financial Contribution is Needed
We are very furtunate to have a very promising campaign, with an excellent candidate and excellent persons supporting and leading the campaign. We are going into the home stretch, in preparation for our "one bite at the apple" -- the September 10 Democratic Primary!! The Democratic candidate receiving the most votes on that date will challenge the winner of the Republican Primary in the November 5 General Election.
Our candidate can win this race, but we do need your financial support of the campaign. We are not seeking to raise the huge sums some candidates are seeking, but we do need enough to get the message out. Voters throughout the seven counties comprising this 13th Congressional District must be informed about our candidate. In order to effectively get the message out, advertising, mailings and other means must be used; we need money in order to accomplish this.
Before you leave this website, please visit to our "Contributions" page and follow the instructions for offering your financial assistance. You can easily access it by clicking on the word "Contributions", below.
We thank you very much.
Contributions Running a campaign is a significant challenge. It is important to get information about the candidate and the campaign out to as many people as possible in a short period of time, and with limited resources. This web site is one strategy we are using to accomplish this purpose and to request your support.
We hope you will find the web site helpful, and we look forward to hearing from you.
